Point System

Point Requirements

Candidates

Candidates must earn a minimum of 600 points over the semester AND meet the following participation requirements to become a member, attend banquet free of charge, run to be an officer next semester and be eligible to earn the end of semester awards outlined below.

  • Orientation
  • Career Mixer
  • 7 BAP Professional Meetings
  • 2 Community Service Activities (at least 1 BAP Sponsored Event, and 1 can be individual)
  • 1 Volunteer Hour at one of the two Bake Sales
  • 1 Volunteer Hour or 1 food item donation at the other Bake Sale
  • 2 Social Events
  • 20 Raffle Tickets (minimum to sell)
  • Election Night

Associates

Associates are able to get a head start in their career by participating in BAP professional events early on in their undergraduate careers as well as gaining insight from members who are juniors and seniors!

Because associates have not taken the required classes to become a member, associates will not be able to become a member at the end of the semester. However, associates who meet the point requirements designated for candidates are able to attend the end of semester banquet free of charge and are eligible to earn the end of semester awards outlined below.

Returning Members

Returning members must earn a total of 250 points over the semester AND meet the following participation requirements to remain active, run for an officer position, and be eligible to earn the end of semester awards outlined below.

  • Career Mixer
  • 5 BAP Professional Meetings
  • 1 BAP Sponsored Community Service Activity
  • 1 Volunteer Hour at one of the two Bake Sales
  • 2 Social Events
  • Election Night
